Patrick Bass Appointed CEO of the CEDES Group
looks back at a brilliant career in the elevator industry. During his 21 years with TKE and Thyssen Krupp AG, he dealt with every aspect of the business, including elevator service, sales, and R&D, taking on the roles of CTO and finally CEO of Thyssenkrupp North America. Since September 2021, he has been in charge of the IoT business development for CEDES. A driven visionary and a true market expert, Bass will lead the company`s digital transformation.

During his ten years as CEO, Christian-Erik Thöny has successfully guided CEDES to a new level of leanness and efficiency. Highlights include the foundation of two new subsidiaries, introducing a new generation of 3D sensors, positioning CEDES as market leader for industrial door safeguarding with the acquisition of VITECTOR and, most recently, kicking off the company`s IoT journey. He will stay with CEDES full time until the end of this year, actively supporting the new CEO during the transition period. Starting 2024, Thöny will keep his ties to the company as President of the Board, Member of the Advisory Board and consultant for special projects.
