CEDES Insights: Entrance Automation
Almost 2 years have passed since CEDES acquired the VITECTOR portfolio, doubling the revenue of its business unit Entrance Automation. During this short time, we managed to fully integrate the VITECTOR business, set up a new production facility for industrial door sensors in Sibiu, Romania, and develop Entrance Automation into a solid second pillar of the company.
This would not have been possible without the dedication of the whole CEDES team, and I am deeply grateful for their hard work. Meanwhile, we have 30 employees in Sibiu, as well as 3 product managers based in different regions: Marius Danes in Romania, Daryl Day in the USA, and Jürg Pitschi in Switzerland. The CEDES sales team, completed with Jorge Neto as Key Account Manager dedicated to Entrance Automation in Europe, also have their fair share in this success.
You can meet our team in person at one of the industry events this year. In less than three weeks, the door industry can finally get together again at the R+T in Stuttgart and I`m thrilled to see some old friends and valued customers, including a delegation from the United States. CEDES will also be present at the IDA Expo in Las Vegas in April, as well as at other events organized by industry associations. We look forward to hosting the BAS.T General Meeting in June and welcoming the members in our headquarters in Landquart, Switzerland.
CEDES is known for its groundbreaking solutions for the elevator industry, and now we are transmitting this unique know-how to the door industry – this year`s nomination for the R+T Innovation Award shows that we are on the right track. Our new intelligent light curtain GridScan/Smart Traffic scans, recognizes, and interprets objects. This information can be combined with other door data within an IoT solution, and we are going to enter exciting partnerships in this area. Stay tuned and see you at the R+T 2024 in Stuttgart, where you can experience this new development first-hand!
Sincerely,
Bernd Kagerer
